Maintaining our SuperHost status for 11 years, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and seamless experience for our guests. Our goal is to be as accessible and responsive as possible, so you feel fully supported from check-in to check-out.  Upon booking, we provide you with our direct contact information, ensuring you can reach us easily by phone, text, WhatsApp or email at any time. 

Our "on-island" property manager is a local professional dedicated to overseeing and maintaining our property and guest services.  Our property manager ensures reliable supports for any concerns or questions about the property and can provide local expertise  and recommendations for activities, dining and island attractions.

Contactless self check-in and check-out offer a seamless and hassle-free experience. 

Before arrival we ensure that you have the access code for the smart lockbox with specific instructions to the key lockbox.  Enter the code provided and let yourself in.

Detailed property instructions are provided that make it simple for guests to enjoy all of the features of the house and property amenities.

Review March 2025: Great place in paradise. Very comfortable home.

Review: March 2025 Cute, nicely furnished cottage, clean and airy, amid nice landscaping with a pleasant, private back deck. Lots of beach and snorkeling equipment available for guests. Well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of handy electrical outlets. (No table for puzzles or laptop work though.) Communication with the owners is excellent, and the local manager responded promptly to deal with a minor plumbing leak. The walk is short to the nearly empty local beach. And the outdoor shower and foot-washing spigot were very handy after a beach walk. As is typical for Exuma, though, a car is mandatory to reach almost anything else. All in all Canuck Palms was a perfect location for a relaxing and exploring Exuma.

Review: February 2025 We were in Great Exuma for the month of February 2025. Brett & Heather's home was a great place to call home for that month. It's in a quiet, peaceful area but not far off the main road, Queens Highway. The home is comfortable and has about anything you'd want. I appreciated the outdoor shower and used it every day. (My girlfriend says it's a "guy thing".) We prepared most of our meals at the house, and the kitchen had everything needed. There's plenty of linens, towels, beach towels, snorkel equipment, etc. We didn't have any issues, but Brett & Heather were always very responsive when we asked questions.

Review: July 2024 Thank you so much for the hospitality. Canuck Palms was perfect for our family of 4. This was our second trip and knew that we wanted a place that was close to cocoplum beach (our favorite). The location is great. 2 minutes to Bowes Convenient Store that we visited often ( we have 2 young kids) and Rolle on the Curve, a take out restaurant that was also visited often. The house was impecable and the communications before and after with the host unbeatable. Canuck Palms has everything you will need. There is a closet packed with beach items ( we contributed with a few baby floaties & toys), chairs, coolers, toys, & snorkeling gear all there! Highly recommend Heather & Brett’s place! You will not be disappointed .

Review: June 2024 Brett & Heather were amazing hosts. They were quick to respond to our questions and even provided great recommendations. Their home is im a great location but i highly recommend a rental. Would definitely stay here again! We had our 1 year old with us and they had everything we needed for our small family.

Review: April 2024 A super lovely cottage a short walk from the beach with everything you need and more for a lovely Bahamas stay. Given how expensive the Bahamas is, its great value for money, we loved it here 😊

Review: April 2024 It was very nice house, close to where we needed to be, it was very relaxing and peaceful. Would definitely recommend this house to others. Had a lot of family down there in different locations and by far, this house stood out far above any houses we were in. And our son who has been down there each year for the last 5 years was impressed on how nice and clean the house was.

Review: Amazing! March 2024 Our family stayed here in February and had an amazing time! Brett and Heather were the perfect hosts and immediately responded to any requests/questions we had. We toured the island and took in many of the sights and restaurants recommended by them and were not disappointed! The home itself is spotless, well appointed and less than a minute from the beach. You can even hear the waves crashing from the back deck. The island is stunning, with indescribable beaches and views. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us..we can wait to return!

Review:  Ideal Vacation Rental! December 2023 From the comfortable beds, the high end linens, the extreme level of cleanliness, the well stocked kitchen and all the little extras like a blue tooth speaker, island cell phone and beach decor, you will feel right at home at Canuck Palms. The outdoor shower is great after a day the beach. The location is very convenient for daily exploring and getting around is pretty simple. Heather and Brent were excellent hosts and recommended some of their favourites spots which is helpful on your first visit to Exumas. We loved our time; check-in and out was very smooth and easy. Hoping a visit to Canuck Palms is now an annual trip!

Review: Fantastic home in a tropical paradise! September 2023 We stayed on the island for a week. The house is very easy to reach and is a two minute walk from the nearest beach. The house is beautiful, very clean and equipped with any utensil (there is also beach equipment). The owners are available 24 hours a day, they respond immediately, solving any problems. We could not have made a better choice and this beautiful home helped make our vacation in the paradise of Exuma even more magical!
